Auction Payment Policy

This policy ("Policy") outlines the payment obligations of users ("Users", "User" or "You") who participate in auctions facilitated by Sutcliffe Hansen ("Company", "We", "Us" or "Our"). By participating in our auctions, users agree to comply with the conditions set out in this Policy.

1. Payment Obligation

1.1. By placing a bid on an item during an auction facilitated by our Company, the User is making a binding agreement to purchase the item at the bid price, if the User is the highest bidder at the conclusion of the auction.

1.2. All Users are expected to make full payment for items won at auction within the timeline defined in section 3 of this Policy.

2. Methods of Payment

2.1. Acceptable methods of payment include credit card, debit card, bank transfer, and any other payment methods indicated at the point of sale.

2.2. Users must ensure that their chosen payment method is valid and has sufficient funds or credit to cover the total cost of their winning bid.

2.3. All payments must be made in the currency stated in the auction.

3. Payment Timeline

3.1. Payment for items won at auction must be made in full within seven (7) calendar days from the auction close date, unless otherwise explicitly stated in the auction details.

3.2. Failure to make payment within this timeline may result in penalties as outlined in section 4.

4. Penalties for Non-Payment

4.1. Users who fail to fulfill their payment obligations within the stipulated timeline may face penalties, including but not limited to: cancellation of the transaction, prohibition from participating in future auctions, and/or legal action.

4.2. If a User's winning item is not paid for within the stipulated timeline, the Company reserves the right to offer the item to the next highest bidder or re-auction the item.

5. Refunds

5.1. All sales are considered final upon payment. Refunds, if any, will be handled on a case-by-case basis and will be at the Company's sole discretion, taking into account the specifics of each case.

6. Changes to this Policy

6.1. The Company reserves the right to amend, modify, or replace this Policy at any time. The updated Policy will be posted on our website, and by continuing to use our auction services after such updates, the User agrees to the changes.

By placing a bid in an auction facilitated by our Company, you agree to this Policy. We urge all Users to thoroughly review this Policy and ensure they understand their obligations before participating in any auction.
