Watch Restoration and Servicing Information
Here at Sutcliffe Hansen, we are now offering restoration and servicing as a service.
We are in the initial stages of rolling out these services and are accepting submissions for watches, though we are early in the process and are accepting a small number of projects at this time.
Here are some questions you may have about this service:
What kind of jobs are you accepting?
We are accepting both servicing and restoration jobs of both vintage and modern watches.
Our goal is to take on the more ambitious projects that other shops may turn away.
What is your process?
Here is what the process looks like:
Step Zero: Fill Out Interest Form
Before anything else happens, you must fill out this form. Once received, it will go in our queue. We are currently building out this part of our process, so it may take some time.
Step One: Intake
Upon receipt of your submission, we will evaluate if we are able to provide the service requested and communicate a timeline to you. If the timeline is agreeable, and we are able to perform the service, we will send you a shipping label to send the watch to us.
Once we receive the watch, we will assess its condition and provide an estimate. If you find the estimate agreeable, we will collect an initial payment and begin work on the watch.
Step Two: The Restoration
We keep you updated as the process goes on.
If the process takes longer, or additional work is required outside of the estimate, we will communicate that at this time. Similarly, if less work was needed, we will provide refunds as necessary.
Step Three: Returning Your Watch
You will receive your watch back, along with a copy of the services performed on the watch by our certified watchmakers at Sutcliffe Hansen.
Will Marshall (Wristwatch Revival) be working on my watch?
Marshall will be supervising the process, but he will not be performing these services. We have assembled a team of trained and qualified watchmakers to be mentored by Marshall in his style of restoration.
